Healing and Time : 
Recovery is going slow, I think I should be back at full strength but at the end of the day when I have to take a couple of pain/muscle pills, I realize that when they said three months before being released by the doc  is true.  .Finally, put that fever behind me for now.. Started walking in the mornings, still can not bend at the waist.They increased the weight to lift from 5 pounds to 15, thank goodness that a paint brush only weighs ounces.

The title of this plein air is Dancing Tree, which I hope to be doing soon. (dancing and painting plein air)

In the last five days, I have painted 10 hours not great but great for a person which under went back surgery twelve days ago...Finishing up one painting, started sketch on a 30X32 Landscape. Been running a low grade fever. Went to Local MD got a shot in right hip Monday and today (Tues) another.  Thursday I see the P.A. and will find out what type of rehab. she has planned...also about fever. 
But those few hour I painted made all the pain leave and the world was normal..Trying to finish up few paintings for up coming Shows /Competitions. Deadlines help push the mind in to a different area of the brain, right side, to visualize the work and all the stages.
Life will just get better and better from here on out....

June 2010 comes to an end.   I look back on a wonderful HOT days of painting in triple digits this month. Starting the last week of May the, ECAA paint out started, 56 artists started off atheistic and looking for the perfect. painting spot (in the shade). The first day which included the Quick-draw, started at 8 thru 5.  Eight days each artist completed from 4-16 paintings.
